Subject : General announcement regarding report filing

To all in the Developing Anomalies Department,
Management and administrative servies are aware of the issues with our report numbering. We are working with them on a solution. In the meantime, please check the database prior to submitting an incident report to avoid duplicates, and please respect the following rule :
N° of first letter of name (A = 1, Z=26) – Subject n° – report n° starting from 001
Example : 1-001-001
When several subjects are involved, letter and subject couples must directly follow each other. Note that even if a subject has prior incident reports concerning it, the numbering of the report correlates with the specific array of subjects present for the incident. Please try to keep the order of subjects consistent (lower number subjects first) between reports in order to keep the database usable.
Example : 1-001-3-002-001
We know this system is not ideal. We know the team would largely prefer going by date-based numbering. We are, however, bound by the current numbering until further notice.
Regards,
Dr Beaulieu
Head of Developing Anomalies Department
P.S. : If you find a misnumbered report, please file a ticket to IT and do not try to fix it yourself.
