Subject 576

Overview

Taken into DAD custody at age 12. See archived file for further detail.
Usually cooperative when goals of testing are properly discussed. A few staff members have reported being unsettled by the subject's calm.

Given his history (see the ludicrous amount of DAD incident reports), we did not expect much. It turns out that careful explanations and negociations are the key to the subject's cooperation. No attempts to break out of AD custody have been reported.
Aaaaaaaand there we go.

Seems to be enjoying art as a hobby. Personnel is authorized to provide him with supplies, but are asked to monitor any resulting artwork. As Dr Beaulieu has noted in the arvhiced file, Subject 576 has a tendency to write down symbols that look like they should mean something. He is adamant that those are "doodles to relax". Completed sketchbooks should be scanned and filed alongside subject data.

Has been authorized, per his request, socializing time with Subject 198, as a reward for good behavior. Encounters are heavily monitored and recorded.

Current research focus : Figuring out the limits of the illusions, as staff has reported getting burned by "illusory" fire. Finding out if Subject 576 is building some sort of notation to recall prior uses of his abilities.

Age : 20

Status : Missing

Abilities :

  • Shadow Manipulation (tangible : use as weapons. intangible : standard shadowy figure behavior.)
  • Illusions (from small lights to full landscapes.)
  • Telekinesis (over 30 meters range. larger testing area under construction.)
  • Explosions (over 30 meters range. 20 meters radius per explosion. larger testing area under construction.)
  • Short-range teleportation (about 5 meters range. possibility of subject underplaying this ability.)

Figured I'd also send his file for completion's sake, since he's going to be mentioned in the report i forwarded to you anyway.

Notes

Interviews with Subject 576 show strange level-headedness compared to reported aggressivity in prior custody. Frequent use of sarcasm and high awareness of his non-person status as an anomaly. – Researcher Pasaro

Staff is divided between "Clearly he's drawing creepy shit to freak us out", "Be kind he probably has been having an extended emotional breakdown", and "Hey, those symbols really seem like they relate to his abilities sometimes, what's up with that ?"
As he refuses to elaborate on those, we are left in the dark. I am partial to thinking he is writing down his own reminders about his abilities. Cart
